We just love this idea! Earth Hour is on 29 March 2008 at 8pm, and it looks like it's going to be really big. So far Sydney, Chicago, Tel Aviv, Manila, Copenhagen, Melbourne, Brisbane and Toronto are all turning off their lights for an hour in the name of fighting global warming. Work late? If so, get in the habit of having your house key ready so you won't fumble with it at the door or get a keyless entry.

Is your home well lit? An intruder's greates fear is being seen. Good exterior lighting around your perimeter creates a psychological barrier.

Got deadbolts? Most burglaries are the result of forced entrey. Make sure all exterior doors have deadbolts with at least 1-inch throwbolts.
